Hot FM Presenter Did Not Orchestrate The Arrest Of Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei — Akamba

The National Organizer of the main Opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Akamba says he is surprised at allegations that the host of Morning Show on Hot 93.9FM "Maakye," Isaac Boamah Darko orchestrated the arrest of the self-acclaimed 'Man of God', Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei.

Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei, was arrested by operatives of the National Security while granting a live interview with Boamah Darko at Greda Estate in Accra on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 for threatening to kill the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, if she goes ahead to compile a new voters register for the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The security Officers found parcels of a substance suspected to be marijuana allegedly on the Pastor when he was being processed for court.

The Hot FM morning show host, Boamah Darko has received a heavy backlash from social media and some people within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly leading the arrest of the controversial 'Man Of God'.

On his show 'Maakye' on Wednesday, Boamah, while giving a vivid description of how the 'Man Of God' was arrested debunked the allegations.

Speaking in an interview with Boamah Darko on the show, the National Organizer of the NDC, Mr Joshua Akamba jumped to the defense of the former by stating emphatically that: "I know you to be very vocal. I know you to be an honest journalist. I know you will not lie to your people. I know you will not--but that is what the NPP has made that to be; that you were the one who released information to the National Security to apprehend the Pastor".
