Rashid Rauf Adam Popularly known as Adam Ro is a Ghanaian international Reggae / Afro beat artiste, Song writer and Business man. Adam was born and bred in Ghana (Ashaiman, Accra) In 1990. He normally sings in his native language Dendi and Hausa, however he has won the hearts of many around the globe with his blend of English Language, Spanish and Twi occasionally in his songs,’ a tactic which is usually employed by only well versed international musicians.

Adam Ro has attained international recognition mainly through his active and persistent exertion of the digital world as far as his music and technology is concerned. Resultantly, his music has been topping Ghana chart top 20 on Reverb Nation (most patronize online platform that provides tools and opportunities for musicians to manage their careers) and one of the most played African songs on most online radios. He has been to numerous countries and has therefore ensured his versatility in his craft.

Adam Ro’s music draws on his African background fused with his love for Afro beat, Highlife and Reggae. His ability to perform, write and compose music has been garnered through Adam Ro’s professional training in music, singing and learning music. He started listening to Afro beat and Reggae from his Mentors at his early age 15. He started singing songs from his icons Fela Kuti , Paul Simon ,Bob Marley , Jimmy Cliff , Joseph Hill, Eric Donaldson , Alpha Blondy, Hugh Masekela , Femi Kuti , Angelique Kidjo, Miriam Makeba ,Baba Maal , Koo Nimo , Michael Jackson , The Temptations , Phil Collins, Bob Marley , Joseph Hill(Culture) and many others.

Having pre interviewed him for the campus crash television show, Ro tells me that when he is not doing anything, he goes for hiking, strolling, watching football and of course listening to music. He is a happy chap and a very easy going person; he enjoys meeting new people and has this enviable friendly attitude.

His new single African Story is available and being streamed on Jango and many Internet Radio Worldwide. This year he plans on creating a band in Ghana to embark on a world tour.
