On January 20, 2008 we published an interview with Michael Essien's father James in which he claimed he had not received financial support from Michael for the past two years.
We have been asked by Michael and his mother Aba to point out that the whole story was not told about Michael and his mother's relationship with his father and that James has received more support from Michael than he had stated in the article.
