Lord! Give Me This Day My Bread!

I. SON OF MAN, spiritually when the Bible says "bread," it's not talking about just flour and water. In the Kingdom, bread is a symbol of ALL-SUFFICIENT PROVISION. And our Father has more than one type of bread. Therefore, it was revealing that Jesus Christ, teaching His disciples how to pray, did not teach them to pray for tomorrow's bread, next year's bread, or yesterday's leftover bread. He said, "GIVE US THIS DAY, OUR DAILY BREAD,” Matthew 6:11. This is a cry of a child who knows where his provision comes from. The Psalmist elaborates in Psalm 118:23 & 24 that “This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. Today is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” The LORD has made this day for you, and what He has provided for you, the bread that you need and the people, will be astonished, and you will be glad and rejoice. Today is a prophetic day created in the spiritual realm with your BREAD ready, but you must ask, “Father! This day give me my bread, and watch what happens next, and the world will be amazed at it. You must catch the spiritual significances of “THIS DAY."

II. MY DEAR BROTHER, reflect on the mystery of "THIS DAY" and why today matters to GOD. Why did Jesus Christ say, "THIS DAY" Remember that in Exodus 16, God gave manna daily. If you tried to hoard it for tomorrow out of fear, it rotted. God was teaching Israel: You cannot live on yesterday's anointing, yesterday's testimony, or yesterday's money. You need a fresh encounter THIS DAY. This day emphasizes daily dependency on God, serves as a reminder that whatever you get is from God, and serves as a point of assurance that no matter the circumstance, God will this day provide for you. Brother, in Matthew 6:34, emphasis is placed on that tomorrow has its own evil. God doesn't want you to live in tomorrow's anxiety. He wants you to win TODAY. God wants us to live for each day. Lamentations 3:23 - "They are new every morning." Your Father does not recycle mercy. Every morning Heaven bakes fresh bread of mercy, favour, and help for you. You must learn to look UP every morning before you look OUT.

III. DAUGHTER OF ZION, the reason many believers are frustrated is because they are looking for men for what only the Father can give. Look UP! Your source is not your job, not your salary, not your connections. Your source is your FATHER. This day the LORD will make provision for your physical needs: “BREAD,” food, rent, school fees, transport, and money. We have the assurance in Psalm 37:25—"I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." "Sister, is your Father the Jehovah Jireh? Then be assured that He will not watch you beg for BREAD. If you are His child, there is a daily allocation with your name on it. There are also days you don't just need money; you need a WORD. One rhema from God can change your life more than one million cedis. This BREAD gives direction, wisdom, and clarity for THIS DAY. John 6:35—"I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to me shall never hunger." The greatest BREAD is not a thing; it is a PERSON. Jesus Christ Himself is our daily BREAD. When you have Jesus today, you have peace today, joy today, and victory today. You cannot have a bad day when you have eaten the Bread of Life in the morning. LORD! GIVE ME THIS DAY MY BREAD.

IV. MY BELOVED SISTERS, God wants to sit and eat with you TODAY. Our Father doesn't just give us bread; He shares His presence as bread. Sister today, you don't need things; you need His presence to survive this day. God knows how to make bread show up where there is no bakery. In that hard office, that dry business, that difficult marriage - He will still provide your daily bread. Revelation 2:17—"To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna." This is bread for your future. It is the provision for your assignment, your purpose. There is a specific bread for your calling. God will not call you without feeding you for the call. Dear brothers and sisters, "Give us this day our daily bread" is not a suggestion; it is a COVENANT PRAYER. When you pray it in faith, Heaven is obligated to respond. Remember that this is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes! You will not beg this day. You will not be stranded this day. You will not be put to shame this day.

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Ask Daily: Make it your first prayer. Father, give me this day my bread. Thank GOD for Yesterday's Bread: Thanksgiving is the currency for more bread. Share Your Bread: You cannot be stingy and expect a daily supply. Work the Principle: God gives manna, but you must go out and gather it. Get up and work.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION: Lift up your right hand and declare: Today, my Father will provide for me! Today, I will not lack food, I will not lack help, and I will not lack favour! Today, I receive fresh Word, fresh mercy, and fresh strength! The bread of healing is my portion today! The bread of provision is my portion today! This day, my table is full! In the name of Jesus Christ, I decree: You will not end this day in shame. Before this day is over, your daily bread will locate you! Your phone will ring, your door will open, and your provision will appear! Our Heavenly Father has heard you. Your Daily Bread is released. THIS DAY! In Christ Jesus' name we pray This Day. AMEN.
