Relationship Coach and Marriage Counsellor, Rev. Dr. Nanayaa Prempeh has advised women to stop deducting money locally known popularly as ‘Chobo’ from the housekeeping money their husbands give them.
During a discussion on Joy Prime’s Morning on the topic “Defining commitment”, Dr Nanayaa Prempeh stated that some women intentionally deduct monies given to them as housekeeping money and blame it on the soaring prices of goods on the market.
“Women will be doing small small stealing. When you are given money to go to the market, then you take ‘chobo’ from it and blame it on the prices of goods on the market. Some even blame the government and the president for the increase in goods at the market,” she disclosed
She further added that the institution of marriage is not for the faint-hearted but rather for the mature minds hence it is important to be responsible and ready for the institution.
