A new publication, "Hu-Sofia: An Introduction to the Knowledge System of Yeʋe", document the primordial and indigenous cosmic knowledge system rooted in the spiritual traditions of the Eʋe people of Ghana, Togo and Benin, presenting a framework for understanding existence, consciousness, creation, humanity and the natural world as interconnected dimensions of reality.
At the foundation of Husofia is Yeʋe, understood as the totality of existence, and Hu - the primordial vibrational principle through which existence expresses itself and manifests. The document further explores Hu-Manu, the human being as an embodied expression of Hu alongside five elemental principles: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Sound.
A central component of the work is Adagana, described as the sound architecture of existence, in which vowels function as Fields and consonants as Forces. Through this framework, sound extends beyond spoken communication to become a means of examining the relationships among vibration, meaning, consciousness and manifestation.
The publication also examines how ancestral knowledge has been preserved, transformed and fragmented across cultures and historical periods, with particular attention to the Eʋe traditions and their place within a wider account of ancient knowledge. It argues for examining surviving traditions in relationship rather than treating each as an entirely separate body of understanding.
Beyond documenting ancestral wisdom, Husofia considers its relevance to contemporary research and future technological development, including indigenous knowledge systems, ecological understanding, Spirit-Tech and Spiritware. It calls for a more integrated approach to knowledge in which ancestral traditions and modern investigation can contribute to a broader understanding of existence.
The 21 pages document establishes an introductory foundation for the continued documentation and development of through the work of Nzila Research Institute, opening further inquiry into its cosmology, sound architecture, ancestral heritage and potential applications.
