Adjena Tafoman Traditional Leaders have responded to the recent Press conference held at Akwamu fie by Akwamu state council concerning the Adjena Stool, royal lineage and ownership of Adjena Tafoman lands at a press conference in Adjena Tafoman on Wednesday 7th October 2026.
Addressing the Media on behalf of Adobea Abusuapaynin,Mr. Dela challenged claims over the rightful heir to the stool, citing a 1967 document signed by Nana Kwame Buadu III, which he said recognises the Adobea Oyoko Royal lineage. He also maintained that Mpakadan forms part of Adjena Tafoman lands and referred to the Kobɔ Kyei deity and a 2015 ruling of the Judicial Committee of the Akwamu Traditional Council.
According to Adjena Tafoman Chief ,Nana Twum Barima iii, he rejects what he described as false history, insisting that he is a Royal of Adjena Tafoman. He questioned claims that the Akwamus conquered Adjena, saying no specific war, date or captured Adjena king had been identified. He maintained that the Akwamus arrived as refugees and were given portions of land by the Adjenahene.
During the press conference one of the important issues the leaders of Adjena Tafoman addressed was about the Impersonation of the Abusuapaynin by Kwame Donkor Armah,
Nana Asante Agyapong the rightful Abusuapaynin discredit the legitimacy of Kwame Donkor being the Abusuapaynin.

They called for the relevant traditional, historical and legal documents to be carefully examined to establish the facts surrounding the Adjena Stool, royal lineage and Tafoman lands, while urging all parties to rely on documented evidence in addressing the long-standing issues.
