In his first major public appearance since his enstoolment as the Amankrado of Kamena-Tafo, Nana Ateko Antwi III demonstrated his unwavering commitment to family, tradition, and unity by leading relatives to pay their final respects to his late father's elder sister, Alicia Wife, in Accra.
The solemn family gathering brought together close relatives and well-wishers who assembled to celebrate the life of the late matriarch, whose influence and contributions to the family will be remembered for generations.
Accompanying Nana Ateko Antwi III was his official media team from FOKA TV, which documented the occasion as part of its commitment to preserving important cultural and family milestones.
Among the prominent family members present were his mother, Ellen Ama Osei Mamphey, affectionately known as Auntie Ama; his uncle, Kofi Ansah; his sister, Linda Amponsah; and his younger brother, Frank Owusu Asiamah, the Managing Director of FOKA TV. Also in attendance was his aunt, Akua Amtwiwaa, alongside several other members of the extended family.
The gathering reflected the strong values of respect, togetherness, and kinship that continue to define the Amoakade Abusua and the traditional leadership of Nana Ateko Antwi III. Despite recently assuming his new traditional responsibilities, the chief made it a priority to stand with his family during this difficult period, reinforcing the importance of honouring one's roots and preserving family bonds.
Observers described the occasion as both dignified and heartfelt, with Nana Ateko Antwi III receiving warm greetings from relatives and community members who wished him well in his new role as a traditional leader.
His presence at the event has been widely viewed as a reflection of his humility, leadership, and dedication to both his traditional office and his family responsibilities.
As Nana Ateko Antwi III begins this new chapter of leadership, many believe his actions continue to demonstrate the values of service, unity, respect for elders, and commitment to preserving Ghana's rich cultural heritage.
