Deputy Director of Operations at Jubilee House Cautions NDC Against Unfair Treatment of Joseph Yammi

Mustapha Gbande, Deputy Director of Operations at the Jubilee House, has cautioned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against what he termed the unfair treatment of the party’s National Organiser, Joseph Yammin.

Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Gbande, who also serves as the NDC’s Deputy General Secretary, accused certain party members of deliberately working to tarnish Yammin’s image.

In a video of the interview circulating on social media, Gbande warned that he would take action against any NDC member whose actions create disaffection within the President John Mahama–led government. He stressed that Joseph Yammin is a key figure in the party, saying he is “not an ordinary person” but the National Organiser. He further suggested that unlike the NPP under former President Nana Akufo-Addo, the NDC has bold leaders who will act decisively when necessary.

Although he did not mention specific individuals, Gbande hinted that some government appointees, including chief executive officers of certain state institutions, were behind efforts to undermine Yammin. He warned that the consequences would be severe once the party takes action, adding that appointees should remain loyal to the party that appointed them.

Gbande made these comments in response to allegations of illegal mining that have been levelled against Joseph Yammin.
