BoG Blacklists 20 Digital Lenders Operating Without Approval

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) is warning the public against engaging with 20 unlicensed digital credit providers operating in the country.

The central bank has also directed all regulated financial institutions not to facilitate the activities of these digital lenders as part of measures to protect consumers and maintain stability within Ghana's financial sector.

The warning comes amid growing concerns over the operations of unregulated digital lending platforms and the risks they may pose to borrowers.

The Bank of Ghana is urging the public to verify the licensing status of digital credit providers before accessing loan services.
