NACOC Grants First Licences for Cannabis Cultivation in Ghana

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has granted licences to two companies to cultivate cannabis for medicinal and industrial purposes in Ghana.
The approval follows Parliament's adoption of a regulatory and fee framework that allows the controlled cultivation, processing and use of cannabis containing no more than 0.3 percent THC for approved medical and industrial applications.
The move marks a significant milestone in the implementation of Ghana's cannabis regulatory regime and is expected to support investment, research and industrial development under strict regulatory oversight.
