Can Finland cut off Russia's nuclear bastion? | DW News

Russia's Kola Peninsula is a nuclear fortress - home to submarines capable of wiping out entire cities and some of Moscow's most capable Arctic ground units. But it has a critical weakness: just one highway and one railway connect it to the rest of Russia. Finland is right next door, and recently joined NATO - and this could make that vulnerability a serious strategic problem for the Kremlin.
