Seven-Month-Old Baby Killed in West Bank Shooting Near Hebron

A seven-month-old Palestinian baby, Sam Abu Haykal, has been killed after Israeli soldiers opened fire on a family vehicle near Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian officials.

The family says they were driving near a checkpoint when their car came under fire, leaving the infant dead and both parents injured.

The Israeli military says troops responded after identifying a vehicle moving toward them and that the incident is under review.

The killing comes amid intensified Israeli raids across the occupied West Bank and rising settler attacks, with hundreds of Palestinians reported killed in recent months.
