Only Rich People Contract The Coronavirus — Sege Residents

Many residents of Sege, capital of the Ada West District in the Greater Accra Region, believe that COVID-19 affects only the rich, not the poor contrary to scientific facts.

While some of them said the coronavirus may exist somewhere in the world but not Ghana, others said even if it was in the country, the number of infected people were being exaggerated because few Ghanaians were rich enough to contract it.

We Have Medical Team On Standby To  Deal With  COVID-19 Case—Dean Of Faculty Of Ghanaian Languages Of UEW

The Ajumako Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in the Central Region, has put in place a standby medical team to attend and manage any case of Covid-19.

The Dean, Faculty of Ghanaian Languages, UEW, Ajumako Campus, Professor Charles Owu-Ewie, made the revelation when Zoomlion Ghana Limited disinfected the campus on Friday, (June 12, 2020).

Covid-19 Pandemic: UNICEF Highlights Unequal Access To Remote Schooling

UNICEF, has indicated that nearly 1.2 billion schoolchildren are struggling with remote learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The agency says inequalities in access to technology and materials needed for children to continue learning while schools are closed is desperately unequal in many parts of the world.

Fears grow in Italy of post-Covid migrant emergency over summer

Concerns have surfaced in Italy that thousands of migrants will again begin to arrive on Italian shores, with coronavirus lockdown measures eased and NGO vessels recently resuming their patrols in the Mediterranean.

According to Italian newspaper reports quoting intelligence sources, more than 20,000 migrants are ready to depart from Libya.

The training dubbed 'COVID-19 Media Training' was meant among other things to bring to the fore the role of the media as well as how journalists should manage information flow and report facts on the coronavirus.

The Techiman North District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon Peter Mensah on Friday, June 12, 2020, held World Day Against Child Labour with a call on parents and caregivers to adopt the habit of giving their wards a well-balanced diet to boost their immune system to enable the Children to fight against COVID 19.

The demand for catfish has drastically reduced and put investors in catfish farming into financial distress due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This came up when the Eastern Regional Office of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture led by Mr Francis Banks, the Regional Director of the Fisheries Commission, visited Blackman's Farms and Hatchery at Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region.

Covid-19 contact tracers in the Ashanti Region have laid down their tools over a reduction in their allowances.

The personnel are agitating over the slashing of their daily stipend from 150 Ghana cedis to 70 Ghana cedis.
