Mauritania 'agrees to handover Senussi to Libya'

NOUAKCHOTT (AFP) - Libya's government spokesman said Wednesday Mauritania has agreed to extradite Moamer Kadhafi's former spy chief, who is also wanted by France and the International Criminal Court.

"We have obtained an agreement from Mauritania to deliver Senussi to Libya where he will receive a fair trial. No date has been decided upon but it will be very soon," said spokesman Nasser al-Mannaa.
