Asamoah began his youth career with Asokwa Deportivo, before he moved to Kaaseman. He joined Liberty Professionals and after just a season he moved abroad where he signed for Bellinzona in Switzerland, but loaned to Torino in Italy, before the midfielder joined Udinese.
