Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman appointed Taffidan Hausan of Africa and Europe

Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman, Executive Director of the African Security and Development Forum (ASDEF), has been appointed as the Taffidan Hausan of Africa and Europe.

The prestigious title was conferred by the African Chiefdom and Council, Arewarmu Duniyarmu, during its 9th Annual General Activities held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria.

The official appointment letter was jointly signed by Ambassador Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, the Sarkin Hausawan Tukulma in Nigeria, who is the National Chairman, and Alhaji Suleiman Isah Darma, the National Secretary.

In his new capacity as Taffidan Hausan, Alhaji Khuzaima assumes the vital role of Global Ambassador of Hausa.

He is henceforth responsible for marketing and promoting the Hausa language and its rich cultural heritage across the continents of Africa and Europe. This role is in addition to the traditional administrative and leadership responsibilities inherent to the Taffida title.

A brief profile of Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman obtained by the Modern Ghana News indicates the distinguished leader is known for his extensive work in regional stability, social development, peacebuilding and interfaith relations.

Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman is also the Executive Secretary of Tijjaniya Muslims of Ghana and an Eminent Member and Chairman of the Finance and Fundraising Committee of the Greater Accra Regional Peace Council – The National Peace Council of Ghana.

As the Executive Director of the African Security and Development Forum, he has been a pivotal figure in fostering cross-border cooperation, especially within West Africa and the Sahel states.

His career is marked by a deep commitment to African identity, especially Hausa, making him uniquely qualified to represent the Hausa community on the global stage.

Alhaji Khuzaima usually travels around the world with the name “Zango man", promoting the Zango culture and identity.

Speaking to the media following the turbaning ceremony, Alhaji Khuzaima accepted the title and award in good faith.

"I feel deeply humbled and immensely grateful to Almighty Allah for this honour," he stated. "I extend my profound appreciation to the Arewarmu Duniyarmu organisation and specifically to the Emirate of Daura, the Grand Patron of the organisation, for their trust and vision."
