Re: Court Gives NIA Go Ahead To Register Ghana Card @ Covid-19

I have just heard a High Court has given the green light to NIA to go ahead to do Ghana Card registration in the midst of exponential infection of Coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.

This was against all reasoning and experts advice by Ghana Medical Association, Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice, the Clergy and many well professional groups, CEGA, PROFoRUM, UK, etc. Whilst one may not have very much difficulty with the position of the court even though it should have taken the public good into consideration knowing this bothers more on public health and not legalities, the chunk of the blame should go to the President of the Republic and the Attorney General.

Just last week at the Presidential breakfast Prayer meeting when our respected anointed men of God asked the President why NIA was still doing registration and especially in our church premises , the President said he was unaware. With this ruling, what impression is the president sending to our Men of God?

Should we stop our church for NIA to use it for political activities?

Is the president and his government anti church?
If so , then they don't deserve our mandate to rule again and therefore we shall mobilise our members to vote against this anti Church , anti God government. In fact, the new Restriction imposition Act does not enlist NIA as an essential service. So why does the Court think NIA must go ahead to cause mass movement of people to converge at a place when that activity is going to lead to the spread of COVID 19?

As Christians we are monitoring the situation and watching closely how this ruling is going to be implemented, should we see NIA going ahead with the registration, we shall also be compelled by the ruling of our God to have church services across our branches in Ghana

And any attempt by the police to arrest worshipers will be deemed as an attack on the Church and on our God. We shall not hesitate to mobilise our members to vote against this government come December 2020.

It is time this political partisan bigotry must stop. The health of the people is paramount and we should not allow politicians to hide behind legalities and weakness in our laws to subvert the will and ordinances of our God. As Christians, we are enjoined by Romans 13 to respect governmental authorities but when we see that this authority is being abused, then the Church must rise up and defend its belief no matter the consequences. As Christians we see this ruling as anti-people and anti-God

Why should the Church be asked to stay away but NIA is being asked to use same premise for its activities? For Jesus says for My House shall be called a house of prayer and not a house for political activities like the NIA which is now seen as political activities.

By the ruling of the Court, it means the NIA can continue to do registration in our Church premises whilst Christians are asked to stay away from serving God in our own Churches.

I am by this calling on all Christians to gird up our loins and be prepared to vote against this anti-God, anti Church government. For our God is a Jealous God.

Mr. President, NIA activities is sending a bad signal about your presidential orders about who should obey.
