Earlier, the General Manager for Mobile Money Financial Services at MTN-Ghana, Eli Hini addressing the agents noted that steps have been taken to soon rid the services of personnel who indulge in malpractices.

According to him, processes are underway with the Central Bank to set up an agent registry.

This registry when completed he noted, would enhance the validation and easy tracking of agents who indulge in any malpractice and taken off.

With the Registry he noted, several information including including fingerprints and thorough background checks of agents would be compiled to ensure that agents with no criminal backgrounds are engaged.
