Has the dust not settled yet, Boakye Agyarko?

Folks, I am just wondering what is happening in the head of Boakye Agyarko ("sacked" Energy Minister). When the axe fell on him, he quickly took to social media to say that he would reveal his part of the "story" when the dust settled.

It's many days now that the dust has settled, especially with the nomination of Peter Amewu as his replacement by the Akim old and rabid dog in charge of the circus called NPP government.

By this straightforward move to send Boakye Agyarko to the doldrums, Akufo-Addo has blighted his political life and dampened any spirit in him (Boakye Agyarko) to aspire for any political office in Ghana in the future. Thus, Boakye Agyarko's political career is over!!

Probably, the loss is perpetual. He can't ever hope to be appointed into public office because of this heavy burden of impropriety weighing him down. No political office for him; nothing in the banking sector (where he made his mark before jumping onto the NPP's political waggon). Even if he folds up into private business, the baggage will continue to weigh him down. So, in truth, his future is doomed.

Can he not know this fact and come out to tell us what he claims will exonerate him "when the dust settles"? That dust has already settled to allow Akufo-Addo have his way and to be in the Ashanti Region to play his awkward game of political deception.

Of course, the spectrum of appointments by Akufo-Addo has a loud ring about discrimination against Asantes; and Boakye Agyarko is one of the Asantes uplifted to douse that fire. Now that he has been axed, will the rhetoric on discrimination re-surface?

In any case, it is not out of place to demand that Agyarko tell us his side of the story. After all, doing so will help us know more than we do now. It will be a bold step in helping us grow our democracy. Will he man up or not? The dust has settled and Boakye Agyarko must not hide his head in it. I challenge him to show us what he has up his sleeves. Or will he cower? What for? Or stoop low to be bribed to seal his mouth? Probably!!

I shall return...
