Let Patriotism Lead the Way, Ex-President Mahama

When it comes to national development, partisan politics must give way to progressive politics: that is politics that is geared towards the improvement in the wellbeing of the people, transformation of communities and economies, and national consciousness.

Based on the above, I would like to pat on the backs of former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor for registering for the Ghana Card. This is an example of patriotism and the preparedness to support worthy endeavours. They have shown the way.

I would like to implore, and also encourage former President John Dramani Mahama to follow the worthy example set by his predecessors and go for the card. The two former Presidents cannot be wrong regarding the relevance of the card and the conditions one needs to satisfy to obtain one.

This is not the time for extreme partisanship, but patriotism and progressive politics that address and meet the needs of the people. Ex-President Mahama must heed this noble and patriotic move by his experienced predecessors.
