Workers Of Expresso Gives Management One Week Ultimatum To Address Their Grievances

Workers of Telecom firm Expresso have given Management of the firm a one week ultimatum to pay six month of their accumulated salary or face their wrath.

The workers numbering about hundred this morning held a protest at their Head office at Abelenpke to drum home their concerns.

Most of them who were cladded in red arm bands, wielded placards with inscriptions such as “ Minister of Labour and Employment Speak Now, Expresso Workers are suffering , twenty month arrears and still counting who held a protest at their head office today says they have not been paid for the past eighteen months.

Addressing the press, Secretary of the Local Union Edward Anani says no payment have been made for their SNNIT contribution, Provident Fund , 2nd Tier contribution as well as medicare for months now.

“You will all agree with me that denying an employee of the above is like killing him or her, he said.

The development has led to the closure of most of its branches across the country.
