Atta Mills Care Donates To Achimota School and Royal seed Home

The son of the late Ghanaian President John Evans Atta Mills, and the founder of Atta Mills Care Ghana Samuel Fiifi Atta Mills, on Tuesday made a donation to the Achimota School in Accra And Royal seed Home a residential children’s home based in Ofaakor as part of activities to mark his father’s 71 birthday celebrations posthumously.Making the donation to his father’s former school, young Mills said he made the gesture in honour of his father who used his birthdays to touch the hearts of the needy in Ghana.

Late President Mills is on record as the first Ghanaian President to use his travel allowances to help the needy and underprivileged in society.

Items he donated included mosquito treated bed nets, assorted foods, household essentials worth about $3,000 etc.

Late President Mills’ died on July 24, 2012, three days after celebrating his 68th birthday on July 21, 2012 with the Osu Children’s Home in Ghana.

Meanwhile a memorial lecture was on Tuesday held in honour of the outstanding law and economics professor.
