French Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the Vice-chancellor of UMAT

The Ambassador of France, H.E. Frédéric Clavier, has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-chancellor of the University of Mines and Technology (UMAT), Prof Jerry S. Y. Kuma, in Tarkwa (Western Region).

This visit follows the first Ghana- France Higher Education Conference which was held last June in Accra.

During this meeting, discussion focused on a possible French support to establish a language laboratory in the University as well as on the training of doctoral students in the IT systems.

The Ambassador of France reiterated the willingness of France to partner institutions in Ghana to foster socio-economic development of the country in the areas of education, science and technology.
