South Africa 86-1 against England

LONDON (AFP) - South Africa reached 86 for one in their first innings at the close of the second day of the first Test against England at the Oval on Friday.

In reply to England's first innings total of 385 all out, the South Africans lost Alviro Petersen for a duck, but Hashim Amla, on 47 not out, and Graeme Smith, on 37 not out, steadied the ship.
