Zambia president Lungu re-elected in disputed polls: commission

Lusaka (AFP) - Zambian President Edgar Lungu was on Monday re-elected in a closely-fought vote that the opposition claimed was rigged, the election commission chief announced.

Esau Chulu declared Lungu "duly elected" after releasing the final results from Thursday's election which put Lungu ahead of his main rival Hakainde Hichilema by around 100,000 votes.
