ASA Savings and Loans organise free health screening at Prampram

Residents of Prampram in the Ningo Prampram District Assembly have benefited from a free health screening exercise put together by ASA Savings and Loans Limited.

The free health screening exercise was organised by the ASA Savings and Loans Prampram Business Centre on September 29, in collaboration with Firdalh Diagnostic Center.

At the end of the exercise, a total of 152 people including clients and members of the general public benefited from the free health screening.

The beneficiaries were screened for various illnesses such as Hepatitis B test, Malaria Test, Sugar test Blood Group, and general screening.

Speaking on the rationale behind the free health screening exercise, Branch Manager for ASA Savings and Loans Prampram Business Centre, Miss. Mary Collette Arthur said it is part of her outfit’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSRs).

“ASA Savings and loans realized that citizens at Prampram needed it, so the Management organized it for them free,” she said.

On his part, ASA Savings and Loans Area Manager, Mr. Richmond Hayford said the health screening shows that the company is not only interested in profit making but the well-being of its clients.

At the end of the free health screening exercise, Dr. Alhasan Haruna and his team of medical officers from Firdalh Diagnostic Center recorded malaria and high blood pressure as the common cases.

As part of the arrangement with ASA Savings and Loans, they gave free medicine to the beneficiaries and offered counsel on ways to live well to avoid illness.

The beneficiaries also extended appreciation to ASA Savings and Loansfor the kind gesture and prayed for the business to continue to grow.
