Empress Gifty, Gospel Musician

Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty has come under fire for her performance at the TREC 24 concert, where she was sprayed with cash by a man of God, sparking controversy and criticism online.

During her performance at the concert, Empress Gifty, known for her uplifting gospel music, was seen on stage singing her hits when a man approached her and began spraying cash on her.

The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, prompted outrage from fans and observers who questioned the appropriateness of the act in a church setting.

Many expressed disappointment, citing biblical references to Jesus chasing out money changers from the temple and emphasizing the sacredness of the house of God.

One social media user, Kingblessgo commented, “This really makes me sad every time I see such things being displayed in the presence of God.

“What’s the point of spraying money on someone in the moment of worship.. Ahh Ghana paa we have to respect God.

“This is not the time to prove riches or your worth.. what should we focus on now the worship or the strip club dollar bills.. smh.”
