Work with more highlife classics - Ex Doe urges young musicians

Veteran Hiplife rapper Ex Doe is urging current artists to help revive some old Ghanaian Highlife in their works.

Ex Doe is known to have benefitted from sampling Highlife classics.

“One of the songs that have held me down and is still holding me down is ‘Comfort’. I am not even the original owner of the song. I took the song from Highlife legend Dr. Paa Bobo and made it my own,” he said during an interview with Reverend Nyansa Boakwa on Happy FM.

It recalled that Ex Doe’s work on the remix of Highlife classic, ‘Comfort’ with the late Dr. Paa Bobo became an instant hit receiving a lot of airplay.

The ‘Maba’ hitmaker added that working on classics is very important as it is the only way to hold on to what the music legends left for the industry.
