FIFA U-17 World Cup: French Referee Clément Turpin To Handle Ghana Vs Columbia Match

French referee Clément Turpin has been selected to officiate the opening match of the FIFA U17 World Cup between Ghana and Columbia today.

The 35-year-old will be at the helm of affairs as the Black Starlets look to pick their first 3 points in the competition.

The two-time World Champions takes on the South American giants at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

Turpin, who officiated at the UEFA Euro 2016 in France has been tasked to ensure a good game in the opening match of the competition.

He is one time French best referee hence will be expected to apply strict rules of the game.

Meanwhile, Danos Nicholas and Gringore Cyril also from France will be serving as the assistant line 1 and 2 respectively with Vincic Slavko serving as the fourth official.
