CAF Confederation Cup: Ghanaian striker Nana Poku scores as Misr El-Maqassa advance

Ghanaian striker Nana Poku scored as his Egyptian side Misr El-Maqassa Cbeat Algeria's Club Sportif Constantine 3-1 to progress in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The former Ghana Premier League needed headed into an empty net after 13 minutes to draw Maqassa level on aggregate after losing 1-0 in the first leg.

Gaber put them ahead five minutes after restart when he latched onto a superb pass to fire home at the near post but Constantine netted in the 76th minute to gain advantage on the away goal rule.

However, Gaber scored again with seven minutes remaining to give the hosts a precious win on their maiden appearance in Africa's second-tier club competition.

Misr El-Maqassa will know their opponents for the play-off stage after Thursday's draw in Cairo.
