F.C Tanga Lashes Mpuasuman 3:0; Restores Supporters Confidence
F.C TANGA restored the joy and confidence of its supporters and entertained football lovers in the Bolgatanga Municipal, with a 3 goal victory over Mpuasuman from Japekrom in the Brong Ahafo region.
The Supporters expected nothing than victory from the TANGA boys, and so, when the victory came it was all joy through the Sunday night.
Before this victory, F.C TANGA had lost its away match against Guan United in Tamale 2:1 in the Division One League and also got knocked out of the FA Cup League by Bawku United at Bawku, also 2:1 and so, playing their first match at home at the Bolgatanga Stadium, it was a must win, to restore the lost joy and vim of the supporters.
Going into the match, F.C TANGA’s “goal machine” Kenneth Nbah had promised a victory and definitely was expected to score a goal. On the 9th minute in the first half, Ken in his usual “bulldozing” way, found the net for F.C TANGA, which triggered a loud uniform noise that Bolgatanga had never heard in recent times.
On the 21st minute, Frank Amoto fought hard for the ball from is opponent and scored a goal that was never expected. This is his first season with F.C TANGA and gradually, he is gaining some love from the Supporters Union, due to his strength and contribution in the midfield.
Varney Sando was brought down in the 18 meter area, in his attempt to find the back of the Mpuasuman net in the 47thminute, resulting in a penalty. Kenneth Nbah connected the penalty kick nicely, bringing the score line to 3:0. But for the inability of Iddrisu Seidu’s to score another penalty kick in the dying minutes of the second half, F.C TANGA would have had 4 goals out of the match.
So for no major injury in camp and the Head Coach of F.C TANGA, Salifu Fatawu believes that, if his boys will to continue to also play the hard way like their opponents are likely to play them both home and away, then, the supporters will have a lot to cheer and be happy about.
This is the second match after the match with Guan United in Tamale. Sunday March 20, F.C TANGA will be playing away to Unity F.C at Goaso in the Brong-Ahafo region and supporters are ready for the trip and look forward to another good performance even at Goaso.
