Ibrahim Toure laid to rest in Abidjan
Ibrahim Oyala Toure, younger brother to Ivory Coast international duo Yaya and Kolo Toure, who died in Manchester on June 19, was buried in Abidjan on Friday in the presence his brothers, top officials and sympathisers.
Hundreds of football fans dressed in snowy white braved the stormy weather to pay their last respects to the 29-year-old striker.
Ivory Coast minister of sports Alain Lobognon led the government delegation to the city's central morgue where the remains of Toure was embarked after Muslim rituals for Williamsville cemetery for inhumation.
Toure was not known to the general public because he never won any call up to the national team, but his demise caused a huge shock in the country due to the popularity of his brothers Kolo and Yaya, who were informed while participating at the 2014 World Cup.
Like his elder brothers, Toure was groomed at Asec Mimosas' famous football academy in Abidjan.
He subsequently played for Lebanese side Al Safa, Metallurg Donestk in Ukraine, French club Nice and Egyptian outfit Misr El Maqasa.
