Clottey Clinches Puma Deal
Berekum Chelsea forward, Emmanuel Clottey did not kick a ball in Black Stars' recent two outings in Congo Brazzaville and England but has returned from the trip a happy player.
The player's above average training work rate has captured the attention of kit manufacturing firm, Puma.
Consequently, Puma has signed the young striker for a two-year term during which the he will be sporting Puma outfits (football jerseys, boots and other souvenirs).
The striker appended his signature to the deal in a brief contract signing ceremony in London, prior to the England-Ghana international friendly at Wembley.
Clottey told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS in a telephone interview: 'I am grateful to Puma for the honour. It will definitely urge me on to strive for greater laurels.'
The intelligent forward added: 'I gave my best shot in all our training sessions. Honestly, I lifted my game in order to earn a place in the in the two games, and I believe that might have accounted for this honour.'
Among the tall list of players and athletes in the Puma family are Pele (Brazil), Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o, Emmanuel Eboue, Yahaya Toure, El-Hadji Diouf, and Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt.
