On Saturday July 31, 2010, Ghana will be hoping to produce world champions when the Golden Mike Boxing Promotions stages a boxing extravaganza dubbed, 'Night of Champions' at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.
The boxing show will witness three of Ghana's finest boxers vying for world titles against foreign opponents for the relatively unknown World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF) titles.
For the first time, Ghana's ambitious boxer cum musician Braimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku will fight Argentina's Hector Velazco, a former world champion, for the WPBF Light Heavyweight title.
This would be the main bout of the day, as the undefeated Bukom Banku who has been cleared by doctors to fight after being told earlier to stop fighting because of an eye defect, aims for his first world title triumph.

Code-mixing English and Ga at the launch, the dreaded boxer commended the promoter for staging one of the best fights ever in this nation.
In other bouts, Joshua Okine, a former Commonwealth Champion, would fight for the vacant WPBF Welterweight crown against Muhammed Abdullar of Uzbekistan, while Albert Mensah battles Karen Tevosiyan of Russia for the vacant Super Lightweight title.
Enterprising Emmanuel Tagoe, brother of former Hearts of Oak player Joe 'Bobby Short' Tagoe who has lost only one fight so far in his career, also takes on Samuel Kuamau of Kenya for the World Boxing Organization Africa Super Featherweight championship.
Other undercards are the fight between Ishmael Tetteh and Peter Mashamaite of South Africa for the World Boxing Organization Africa Middle Weight Championship, while Alfred Tetteh and Ishmael Aryeetey battle in a Featherweight contest.
Michael Tetteh, Chairman of Golden Mike Boxing Promotions, commenting on the fight, said the boxing championship would rejuvenate boxing in the country, adding that for the first time the new WPBF title would be staged in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the foreign boxers would be arriving in the country for the big fights in the next few days.
