Rahim Ayew reforms at Zamalek
Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Ayew says he will put his recent punishment at Zamalek to good use and push for starting role ahead of the Fifa World Cup finals in June.
Rahim was handed a two-match suspension by head coach Hossam Hassan for arriving late at the club from the Africa Cup of Nations.
The 22-year-old is yet to establish himself in the Zamalek set-up since joining them last summer.
"As a professional, I must obey before complaining and that is exactly what I have decided to do and move on with my career. I have to fight to become a key member of the Zamalek team," Ayew told Ghanasoccernet.com
"The coach knows what he is doing and I have to do all to impress him. He is a former footballer so I give him that respect.
"He (Hossam Hassan) wants more from his players and I'm prepared to do just that.
Rahim, who played a bit-part role in Ghana's silver medal winning feat at the Africa Cup of Nations, knows he must double his work rate to save his international career.
"I have been invited for next week's friendly match against Bosnia and I have to work hard to impress the coach ahead of the World Cup," he added.
