Ghanaian goalie wins Ivorian gong
Ghanaian Daniel Yeboah has been voted the best goalkeeper in the Ivorian League for the 2008/09 season.
The ASEC Mimosas shot-stopper has been consistent for the club and was awarded at a ceremony last Sunday.
He received a cheque for one million francs CFA(US$ 2,000) for his bravery betweeen the sticks.
ASEC also won the Best Player, Best Coach and Fair Play awards.
Yeboah was born to a Ghanaian father and an Ivorian mother but has lived all his live in the West African country.
He has already manned the goal post for the Ivorian Olympic team ruling him out of a Ghana call.
