Zaytuna part ways with OMP
Division One League side Zaytuna United have abrogated their contract with Optimum Media Prime, majority shareholders in the club.
OMP owners of Metro TV acquired seventy percent shares in the club in 2007 after they qualified for the Premier League but now the second-tier side say they want out of the deal.
Sources say OMP has reneged on their responsibilities since the club was demoted two seasons ago.
OMP was expected to use it platform to market, promote and solicit sponsorship for the launch of Zaytuna United Football Club Limited but management says that has not been forth coming.
Meanwhile management of Optimum Media Prime has been tight-lipped on the issue since it broke out in the local media.
OMP have bought shares in three clubs and have guided all to relegation in their debut seasons the latest being Sporting Mirren. Kade Hotspurs were the first to suffer under their management they also exited the league four years ago.
