Ghana improve on Fifa ranking
The Black Stars go into Sunday's World Cup well motivated after moving three places up in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking released today for the month of September.
Ghana jumped from 35th to 32nd position after last month's 4-1 win over Zambia in a friendly international played in London.
The Black Stars also share the third spot on the continent with African champions Egypt.
The Elephants of Ivory Coast are Africa's highly ranked nation on 20th position in the world ranking.
The top three remain unchanged with five-time World Cup winners Brazil leading Spain and Holland.
