M & J rolls out plan for Olympics games

The management of M & J Travel and Tours in conjunction with the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has announced a comprehensive travel package for corporate executives and their employees who are interested in attending the 2008 Beijing Olympics in China. The travel package for the games, which will start from August 8th to 24th - is also supported by The Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce (GCCC), a non-profit organisation. The travel package is made up of visa processing, roundtrip airfare, transportation, accommodation, games tickets with a sightseeing component and also ranges from $2,900 to $6,900 and it gives clients the flexibility of selecting what games to watch. Explaining the rationale for the travel package, the General Manager of M & J Travel and Tours, Mrs. Cynthia Opoku-Manu, noted that her company has a strong track record of providing quality hassle-free travel packages for its clientele and has come up with the Beijing Olympic travel package in direct response to requests from corporate executives. On his part, Mr. Stephen Shum, an official of the GCCC, described the initiative as a unifying one designed to promote friendly and good business relations between Ghana and China, adding that “we aim to unite citizens of our two countries through commerce and to assist and protect the interests of all existing and prospective investors. We also serve as a bridge for the Ghana-China relationship in order to promote a more productive business environment”. Mr. Shum assured all prospective visitors to the Beijing Olympics of the GCCC's co-operation and assistance, noting that “we welcome you to the 2008 Beijing Olympics and look forward to showing you our beautiful country”. He urged corporate executives to take up the offer, describing it as a lifetime experience.
