Prince Nana - The Wrestling Prince
This Ring of Honor member claims to be heir to the Ashanti throne.
Prince Nana Osei Bandoh, known by his ring name of Prince Nana, is an American-born wrestler of Ghanian descent who claims to be heir to the Ashanti throne. He moved to Ghana at the age of three and came back to the U.S. when he was eight-years old.
In 1992, after watching a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) match, he wrote to them to get advice about which wrestling school he should go to. They suggested Larry Sharpe, but he decided it was too far away for him, so he decided to be innovative, and become a photographer for Rodz Sharp, owner o f Gleason's Gym, until he was 18. Rodz trained him to be a wrestler and he debuted in a match against BigVito in 1996.
Nana worked for the East Coast Wrestling Association in Delaware, USA Pro Wrestling in New York, and appeared in WWF shows, and with ZERO ONE, in Japan. From 2004 to 2006 he was a Ring of Honor member during which time he formed 'The Embassy”, a group of wrestlers that were part of the Ring of Honor. He resigned in 2006.
