2026/27 GPL: Vision FC kick off season with convincing win over Young Apostles

Vision FC made an impressive start to the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League season with a convincing 3-0 victory over Young Apostles as the new campaign got underway on Saturday.

The hosts wasted little time in taking control of the contest, with Naziru Alhassan Nyenye opening the scoring in the fourth minute to give Vision the perfect start in front of their home supporters.

Vision continued to dominate proceedings and doubled their advantage five minutes before half-time when Setsofia Aqetey found the net to put the home side firmly in command at the break.

Young Apostles struggled to respond after the restart as Vision maintained their intensity and control. Alidu Labaran was shown a yellow card in the 55th minute during an increasingly competitive second half, but the hosts remained comfortable.

Aqetey then completed his brace to seal the victory and cap an impressive individual performance, ensuring Vision began the season with three points and a clean sheet.

The result moves Vision FC temporarily to the top of the league table, with the remainder of the opening-round fixtures set to be played on Sunday.
