Ghana's David Oduro joins French side Annecy on loan from Barcelona
Ghanaian defender David Oduro has completed a move from Barcelona to French Ligue 2 club Annecy on a two-year loan deal.
The transfer was confirmed on Saturday, 22 August, with the 20-year-old leaving the Spanish giants after two seasons in their youth setup.
The agreement includes a sell-on clause in Barcelona's favour, allowing the club to benefit from any future transfer involving the Ghanaian.
In a statement announcing the move, Barcelona thanked Oduro for his contribution during his time at the club.
"The club would like to thank the player for his dedication and professionalism over the last two seasons and wishes him all the best for the future both on and off the field," the club said.
Oduro joined Barcelona from Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions, where he established himself as one of the country's promising young defenders before making the move to Spain.
During his time with Barcelona's youth side, Barça Atlètic, he made 33 appearances across all competitions, scoring once. He also featured in the UEFA Youth League as part of the club's highly regarded academy system.
