Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah joins Saudi side Hajer FC
Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has completed a move to Saudi Arabian side Hajer FC ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Saudi club officially announced the signing of the Ghanaian forward on Friday, August 14, confirming that he will feature for the team in the Saudi First Division League, also known as the Yelo League.
The 24-year-old joins Hajer after establishing himself as one of the leading forwards in the Ghana Premier League in recent seasons.
Amoah scored 21 goals in 52 appearances in Ghana's top flight, with his performances earning him recognition as one of the division's most dangerous attackers.
His most productive spell came during his time with Asante Kotoko, where he emerged as an important attacking option for the Kumasi-based club.
During the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign, Amoah finished among the league's leading scorers and produced one of the standout individual performances of the season when he scored a hat-trick in Kotoko's 3-2 victory over Medeama on the final day.
The striker's goalscoring ability, physical strength and movement in the final third are expected to bolster Hajer's attacking options as the club prepares for the new campaign.
The move marks a new chapter in Amoah's career as he begins his first experience of Saudi Arabian football and looks to continue his development outside Ghana.
He will now join his new teammates for pre-season preparations before the start of the 2026/27 Yelo League campaign.
Amoah's transfer also adds to the growing list of Ghanaian players seeking opportunities in Saudi Arabia, whose football landscape has continued to attract players from across Africa and beyond.
