2026 WAFCON: Ghana 0-1 Cameroon [HIGHLIGHTS]

Ghana's Black Queens suffered their first defeat at the ongoing 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after falling 1-0 to Cameroon in their second Group D match on Sunday.

The closely contested encounter was decided by a first-half penalty converted by Marie Gisele Ngah Manga, whose calm finish secured maximum points for the Indomitable Lionesses.

Despite a spirited performance from the Black Queens, Ghana were unable to find an equaliser as Cameroon held on to claim a vital victory and strengthen their position in the group.

The result leaves Ghana with everything to play for in their final Group D fixture against Mali on August 6. The Black Queens will need all three points to secure qualification to the knockout stage of the tournament.

After making a positive start to their campaign, the defeat serves as a setback for Ghana, but the team still has its destiny in its own hands heading into the decisive final group match.
