Asante Kotoko: David Obeng Nyarko reappointed as Brand and Partnerships Manager

Asante Kotoko have confirmed the return of former Communications Director David Obeng Nyarko, appointing him as the club's new Brand and Partnerships Manager ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

The Ghanaian giants announced the appointment in an official statement on Thursday, July 30, ending weeks of speculation surrounding Nyarko's return to the club.

"Akwaaba, David Obeng Nyarko! Welcome back to the Asante Kotoko family! We are delighted to have you rejoin the club as the Brand and Partnerships Manager," the club said in its statement.

Nyarko is no stranger to the Porcupine Warriors, having previously served as the club's Public Relations Officer and later Communications Director. During his previous stint, he played a significant role in enhancing Kotoko's public image, media relations and fan engagement.

His latest appointment is seen as part of the club's broader strategy to strengthen its commercial operations and increase its brand visibility ahead of the upcoming campaign.

In his new role, Nyarko will oversee the club's branding and commercial partnership initiatives, with a mandate to attract strategic sponsors, expand revenue-generating opportunities and elevate the Asante Kotoko brand on both the local and international stage.

The appointment comes as Kotoko continue preparations for the new season under head coach Eric Tinkler.

The former Ghana Premier League champions will begin their 2026/27 league campaign with an away fixture against newly promoted Debibi United.
