Swedru All Blacks sign Faisal Chawetey on two-year deal ahead of 2026/27 GPL season

Swedru All Blacks have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season with the signing of attacker Faisal Chawetey on a two-year contract.

The club confirmed the acquisition of the former Nations FC forward as they continue preparations for life in Ghana’s top flight.

The deal will keep Chawetey at the club until 2028.

Chawetey arrives at the Black Magicians with experience from his time at Nations FC, where he featured prominently before making the move to Swedru as the club looks to build a competitive squad capable of competing at the highest level.

The attacker becomes one of the latest additions to the team’s recruitment drive as Swedru All Blacks aim to establish themselves in the Ghana Premier League after surviving relegation last season under head coach Kasim Mingle.

The club’s management has been active in strengthening key areas of the squad, with the focus on blending experienced players with emerging talents ahead of the new campaign.

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to commence on the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, with the competition set to run until the final weekend of May 28–31, 2027.

With the new season approaching, Swedru All Blacks will be hoping their transfer activity, including the capture of Chawetey, will provide the foundation for a successful campaign in Ghana’s elite football division.
