Hearts of Oak dismiss reports of transfer valuation for Benjamin Asare
Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak have denied reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, the Ghana Premier League side described the reports circulating in sections of the media and on social media as false and without factual basis.
“Accra Hearts of Oak has not placed any valuation on Benjamin Asare, and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf,” the club said.
The statement comes amid growing speculation about Asare’s future after the goalkeeper attracted attention with a series of strong displays for the Black Stars during the World Cup in North America.
While dismissing the claims, Hearts of Oak acknowledged that, as a professional football club, they remain open to receiving and considering offers that serve the best interests of both the player and the club.
However, management stressed that no official valuation has been communicated and that all figures currently in circulation are speculative.
The club also urged journalists, supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard unverified reports regarding the goalkeeper’s transfer value. Hearts of Oak encouraged media organisations to confirm information through the club’s official channels before publication.
“The Club remains fully committed to supporting his continued development, while safeguarding the integrity of its operations,” the statement added.

Hearts of Oak further congratulated Asare on his achievements with the national team, saying they remain proud of his performances on the international stage.
The goalkeeper has emerged as one of Ghana’s standout performers in recent months, and his displays at the World Cup have inevitably fueled interest from clubs outside the country. However, Hearts of Oak insist that any discussion regarding a transfer fee or valuation has not originated from the club.
