Haaland's late strikes take Norway past Brazil to last eight for first time
His first came in the 79th minute.
Andreas Schjelderup floated the ball across from the left wing and Haaland leapt up in front of Brazil defender Gabriel to plant a header past the goalkeeper Alisson.
It was his 53rd goal in his 62nd game for his country.
On the cusp of stoppage time, it was number 54.
Norway's goal machine
The 25-year-old picked up the ball just ouside the Brazil penalty area and flashed a shot through the legs of Danilo that flew into the left hand corner of the goal.
Brazil, who were seeking a sixth World Cup crown, started the tie confidently.
The finale contrasted sharply with the start in which Brazil dominated possession.
Carlo Ancelotti's men were awarded a penalty in the 14th minute after Norway defender Kristoffer Ajer fouled Matheus Cunha in the penalty area.
Bruno Guimares stepped up to take the kick but Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland dived to his left to push away the shot.
Nyland excels in Norway goal
After the pause, Nyland was the busier of the two goalkeepers and his case was aided by Brazilian profligacy.
Substitute Endrick should have scored in the 62nd minute when he had only Nyland to beat with his shot.
But his effort went past the 35-year-old and the left hand post of the goal.
