2026 World Cup: We will target exploiting Colombia's weaknesses, says Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz
Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz says his side will approach their Round of 32 World Cup clash against Colombia believing no team is flawless, insisting they will target the South American side’s vulnerabilities when they meet at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Colombia head into the knockout tie unbeaten after topping Group K, but Queiroz is adamant the challenge is far from insurmountable.
Speaking ahead of the game, the experienced Portuguese coach stressed the importance of discipline, belief and tactical awareness.
“What we have to do is to play our game and measure our strengths against the weak areas that Colombia might have,” the 73-year-old said.
“There are no perfect teams, so we will look to explore their weaknesses too. We have to be strong in our play and in our mentality. It is going to be a great game regardless of the result," the former Iran and Egypt boss added.
